Dappled Reflection
Prussian blue, forest green and lemon yellow brush strokes mingle to conjure a reflection of a rippling pond.
This painting is inspired by the landscape in the south of France, where the strong sunlight creates a landscape that is vibrant and saturated with colour.

As part of my working process, I immerse myself in nature, photographing what I find. I then use Photoshop as a means of sketching and experimenting with composition before finally using oil paint as an emotive and expressive vehicle to create the finished work.
I often use glaze medium to build translucency and depth of colour, resulting in luminous, jewel-bright colours and glossy highlights on key areas.
