This beautifully crafted original oil painting captures the essence of summer in a delicately balanced composition. Ice blues pop against bright peach, with cobalt and sky-blue botanical detailing.

This painting was inspired by an outing to the paradise that is Barnsdale Gardens in Rutland shortly after restrictions from the first lockdown were lifted. This painting captures the beauty and resilience of nature, which many of us became more aware of thanks to lockdown. It seeks to celebrate the joyful and healing properties of nature in all its fullness.

Peach Solstice can be paired with its sister painting, Botanical Dreams Two to create a Diptych (set of two paintings).

As part of my working process, I immerse myself in nature, photographing what I find. I then use Photoshop as a means of sketching and experimenting with composition before finally using oil paint as an emotive and expressive vehicle to create the finished work.

I often use glaze medium to build translucency and depth of colour, resulting in luminous, jewel-bright colours and glossy highlights on key areas.
Shipping is free for UK customers. Orders will be fully insured and shipped by Parcelforce and will arrive within 3-5 working days. If any unexpected circumstances mean your order will arrive later than this, we will get in touch to let you know. If you live outside the UK please get in touch to get a bespoke shipping quote. Customers outside the UK will be responsible for paying any customs taxes or duties.
