Peachy Sunset
This original acrylic painting is part of a series inspired by the beautiful coastline of north Norfolk in the UK. It captures the peachy glow of sunset reflecting on a calm sea.
The soft brushstrokes and gentle colours capture the calm, soothing atmosphere and wide open skies of the north Norfolk coast.

As part of my working process, I immerse myself in nature, photographing what I find. I then use Photoshop as a means of sketching and experimenting with composition before finally using oil paint as an emotive and expressive vehicle to create the finished work.
I often use glaze medium to build translucency and depth of colour, resulting in luminous, jewel-bright colours and glossy highlights on key areas.
